Customer Service

We are committed to total customer care and abide by the principles of The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Should you wish to speak to our customer services department about any product purchased or related to delivery of your order, please call us between 
Monday to Friday between 9am to 6pm.  Alternatively, if you would like to email us, please mail to enquiries@jmldirect.com.sg. We endeavour to reply to your query within 1-3 working days. 


 

1) PAYMENT

1.1 Sales Order

All Sales Orders submitted to JML Singapore Pte Ltd through the JML Webstore are subjected to our acceptance. JML shall be entitled to cancel or terminate the obligations to fulfil any sales order, for any reason whatsoever, even after a sales order is confirmed by, and paid for by the customer, with or without notice and we shall not be liable to any party for such termination or cancellation. In such event, we shall refund to the customer the price of the goods purchased.

 

1.2   Payment Terms

Unless otherwise stated, all prices quoted are inclusive of GST.  Unless otherwise stated, all payments to be made through the JML Webstore shall be made using Paypal only. We do not accept any Cash-on-delivery payments, company or personal cheques for online purchase.

1.3     Payment Processing

We accept all major credit card payments applicable via Paypal. JML Singapore Pte Ltd is not responsible for the errors, acts and omissions of the credit card companies.

 

Site Errors

Errors will be corrected where discovered, and JML Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after a Sales Order has been submitted and whether or not the Sales Order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your sales order is cancelled, JML Singapore Pte Ltd will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account.


2   DELIVERY

All products purchased from us will only be delivered to valid addresses within Singapore. We aim to deliver to you within the stated date by products. Products that are despatched by our nominated carrier will usually require a valid signature as proof of delivery (POD). You will be given an order number to track your parcel if your parcel doesn't reach you on time. Alternatively, you can contact us for your parcel details. In events when your presence/behalf is absent when the parcel was being delivered, the courier will leave a absent slip at your door step. If you have not received your product after the suggsted date, please do not hesitate to contact our customer services team.

 

2.1 Delivery Charges

All purchases below S$80 for online purchases will bear an additional delivery charge. No free delivery are entitled for Malaysia orders unless otherwise stated.

 

3   CANCELLATIONS, EXCHANGES & RETURNS

3.1 Sales Cancellation

Please call our customer service hotline, JML Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right to refund you only on  the price of any Goods based on your mode of payment, even after the relevant sales order is confirmed and payment has been received, in lieu of delivery or supply of such Goods within one business day.

 

3.2 Exchanges/Returns

If your product malfunctions within the one year warranty on entitled products,

FOR SINGAPORE ORDERS:

You may request for an exchange, strictly appointment basis please call 6742 1771 . The products must be returned to JML Singapore Pte Ltd before any request for exchanges will be entertained. No administrative charge shall apply for such exchange. Please view out exchange policy stated below. Should you wish to do an exchange of a product with us, please do so at our head office during office hours at: 10 Changi South Lane, #01-02, Singapore 486162

 

FOR MALAYSIA ORDERS: 

If you require a refund or exchange within the 14 Days Money Back Guarantee period in the event of incomplete, defected or goods damaged, factory defects, you may request for an exchange/refund. Please contact us at 1800806865 or email us. All pick up requests are payable by you - after making the payment, we will schedule a pick up request with the appointed courier service. The products must be returned to JML Singapore Pte Ltd's appointed warehouse before any new replacements or refunds will be activated. 

 

All original packing materials, manuals, accessories and gifts that come with the purchased goods have to be returned together with the defective goods along with the proof of purchase or receipt. 

JML Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right to refuse any exchange/refund/return should there be any shortages of part or in packaging deemed non-conform to our specification.

2) Hygiene or perishable products.(I.e: Inner wear & Cosmetic) *unless otherwise stated/advertised*

3) Purchases not made directly from JML's Call centre or Webstore.

4) Products on clearance (eg. Campigns: Lowest Price)

5) JML Showroom or Retail partners

6) Alteration or modification done to the product; if found

7) Unauthorized repair done to the product; if found

8) Misusing/Unethical damage done to the product; if found

9) Non-electrical product

10) Stains, discolouration, scratches due to normal, everyday wear and tear

 

All products except for omitted criterias stated above will have a 14 days window (from receiving date) to raise a replacement request for any damages during transit/defects. For products without warranty, it will be deemed as wear & tear after the 14 days window closes.

 

Product Liability

JML Singapore Pte Ltd will take no liability or claims for any damages done due to customer's individual negligence unless the JML extended warranty coverage have been purchased with the product in the initial purchase. Customers are recommended to read through the user manual before using the product correctly.

Our exchange policy do not apply to

- “Hygiene” or perishable products that have been opened/unsealed or used.

- Food related products that had been damaged due to customer's negligence, misusing or incorrect use of product.

- All products which are on clearance promotion

- Stains, discolouration, scratches due to normal, everyday wear and tear

- Alterations or modifications done to the product; if found

- Unauthorized repair done to the product; if found

Misusing/Unethical damage done on purpose; if found

- non-electrical products

 

3.2.1 Refunds

14 Days Money Back Guarantee 

Refunds are processed strictly based on the value of product price only. Any paid custom fees, duties, taxes and delivery charges will not be refunded.

 

This policy is strictly Not Applicable for:

It is mandatory for customers to visit the JML Service Centre physically for the refundstrictly appointment basis please call 6742 1771. Refund procedures will only be applicable through the purchaser’s mode of payment. The products must be returned to JML Singapore Pte Ltd before any request for refunds will be entertained. No administrative charge shall apply for such exchange. Should you wish to do a refund with us, please do so at our head office during office hours at:

FOR MALAYSIA ORDERS: 

If you require a refund within the 14 Days Money Back Guarantee period on products that we advertised or with valid indication, you may request for an exchange/refund. Please contact us at 1800806865 or email us. Return the unassembled item in their original packaging, all original packing materials, manuals, accessories and gifts that come with the purchased Goods have to be returned together with the defective Goods along with the proof of purchase or receipt for a  refund.

No refunds will be accepted for all products without valid indication or unless as advertised.

Refunds will be issued within 14 working days as such:

- Credit card payment will be refunded through credit card

- Paypal payment will be refunded through paypal

- Cash payment will be refunded through bank transfer/cheque

 

Instalment Plan Refund

According to DBS/POSB bank, Customers who have made their purchase through JML’s instalment plan will have to wait up to a period of 2 - 3weeks before the bank approves the credit back to purchaser’s credit card. A refund form will be signed when the customer visits JML’ service centre for the refund.

 

Procedure – The full product price which customer had paid for will be refunded to the credit card once the bank had approved the refund. However, customers will still need to continue paying for the balanced monthly sum. Early settlement of full instalment sum will result in a service charge of $150 payable to DBS/POSB bank.

 

Any paid custom fees, duties, taxes and delivery charges will not be refunded.

JML Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right to refuse any exchange/refund/return should there be any shortages of part or if packaging deemed non-conform to our specification.

3.3 Liability

If you have notified us of a problem with the goods, we will either make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace any goods that are damaged or defective upon delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, nor is it intended to limit our liability to you for fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence. 

 

3.4 Product Warranty

JML Singapore Pte Ltd agrees to provide the warranty described herein (Product Warranty). JML Singapore Pte Ltd’s sole liability shall be provided to the original purchaser (the purchaser), the necessary labour and parts, as described below, to correct defects in workmanship and materials for the standard product warranty of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.

 

i.         Product warranty only covers electrical products with electrical plug. (Excluding USB-powered/charged products)

ii.       For a period of twelve (12) months warranty period, JML Singapore Pte Ltd will supply, new or rebuilt, at JML Singapore Pte Ltd’s discretion, replacement parts in exchange for defective parts at no cost to the purchaser.  The warranty is made to the purchaser only. All defective parts replaced under this warranty will become the property of JML Singapore Pte Ltd.  In the event that part(s) or unit replacement is not available, JML Singapore Pte Ltd will, at its discretion, replace the original product with one of a similar type, of equal value. The warranty will be voided if the manufacturer’s instructions have not been followed or if the product has been subject to misuse or any modifications.

iii.        The warranty is non-transferable and is only valid in Singapore.

iv.      Verification of this warranty is undertaken by checking the original purchase records (purchase receipt/invoice) of the purchaser, before any remedial work is undertaken. Failure of verification will result in the rejection of the warranty service. In this instance the product, at JML Singapore Pte Ltd’s sole discretion, will be returned to the said purchaser.

V.        Product warranty does not cover “hygiene”, consumables, perishables, USB-powered/charged products, any product that have been opened/unsealed or used or products on clearance promotion.

4   PRODUCT DISPLAY/ COLOURS 

JML Webstore attempts to display product images shown on the site as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that the colour you see matches the product colour, as the display of the colour depends, in part, upon the monitor you are using.

 

5   Safety Advice

For your own safety we recommend that you read carefully all safety information printed either on the packaging, or in any leaflets that may be included with the product. For electrical products, always check the power cable and plug for any signs of damage. Always consult a qualified electrician and never attempt to repair any product yourself. 

 

6    Data Protection Act 1998

JML Direct is registered as a data user under the above Act. The company’s registered entry contains descriptions of the sources, uses and disclosure of personal data held by the company. Information supplied by you will be used for administering your account details, and for promoting goods and services to you. 

We may disclose your information to a third party service provider for delivery.

By purchasing products from us, you agree to these terms of sale. JML have the right to revise these terms and conditions including prices at any time. We also have the right to decline service to any individual customer.


7   Disclaimers 

By using the JML Webstore, you expressly agree that use of the JML Webstore is at your sole risk. The JML Webstore is provided on an "as available" basis. Neither JML Singapore Pte Ltd nor affiliates, subsidiaries or designees nor each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, third-party content providers, distributors, merchants or warrant that use of the JML Webstore will be uninterrupted or error-free. 
 

Under no circumstances shall JML Singapore Pte Ltd or its Associates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from your use of or inability to use the JML Webstore, including but not limited to reliance by you on any information obtained from the JML Webstore that results in mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion or corruption of files, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any failure of performance. The foregoing Limitation of Liability shall apply in any action, whether in contract, tort or any other claim, even if an authorized representative of JML Singapore Pte Ltd has been advised of or should have knowledge of the possibility of such damages. User hereby acknowledges that this paragraph shall apply to all content, merchandise and services available through the JML Webstore. 
 

8    Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions together with your sales order constitute the entire agreement between you and JML Singapore Pte Ltd in relation to your purchase of the Goods and supersede any and all statements or other agreements.

 

9    Termination of Use 

JML Singapore Pte Ltd may, in its sole discretion, terminate your account or your use of the JML Webstore at anytime. You are personally liable for any orders that you place or charges that you incur prior to termination. JML reserve the right to change, suspend or discontinue all or any aspects of the JML Webstore at any time without prior notice.

 

Feedbacks, Comments, Suggestions

Visitors may post feedbacks, comments and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of "spam." You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a credit card or any other matter. JML Singapore Pte Ltd reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content, but does not regularly review posted content. 

If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant JML Singapore Pte Ltd a perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media, the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content is accurate; that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify JML Singapore Pte Ltd for all claims resulting (whether directly or indirectly) from content you supply. JML Singapore Pte Ltd has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. JML Singapore Pte Ltd takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.
